How the QR Code Generator works
The QR widget turns a link or a line of text into a code the class can scan. The box says Enter URL or text.... You paste your own link. The board does not host a form for you.
- Click QR in the dock, then press Edit.
- Paste a URL or a short text into Enter URL or text....
- Leave it large enough to scan from the back row. Test with your phone before students try.
- Tell the class what the link is before they scan.
- Press Save Board so this layout stays in this browser.
Settings and features
The only field is the text the code encodes.

Ways to use it in class
Your own form
Paste the form link you already use. The exit-ticket template can show a QR beside the prompt. You supply the URL. There is no form built into the board. Before conferences, a QR code on the hall board can open a family feedback form; see conference slides on one board.
A reading link
Paste the article URL, test the scan, then start the timer for silent reading. Take the code down when the reading starts so phones go away.
A short code word
You can encode plain text, not only links. Use that for a join code the class needs to see once.

When not to use it
- Students have no phones and no tablets. Write the short link on the Text widget instead.
- The link is private or unfinished. Do not project it.
- You have not opened the link yourself in the last day.
Accessibility and privacy
Say the destination out loud and offer a typed short link for students who cannot scan. The code is not a student record. Save Board keeps the layout in this browser. Copy link opens it on another computer.

What do I paste?

Does MyClassScreen host the form?
No. Paste a form you already have. The widget only shows the code.
Why will a phone not scan it?
The tile is too small, the link is broken, or the room is too far. Enlarge the tile and test from the back row.
