How the Drawing Board works
The drawing widget is a blank surface on the board. You sketch a diagram, circle a word, or mark a path. It is for the explanation in front of you, not a saved art portfolio.
- Click Drawing in the dock.
- Draw the one thing the class needs to see.
- Talk through the marks while you make them.
- Clear the surface before the next task so old marks do not confuse the new one.
- Press Save Board if the widget should stay on this layout. The drawing itself is for the moment.
Settings and features
Use it as a surface. Do not treat it as a file you will reopen next week on another computer.

Ways to use it in class
Annotate a word
Write the word, mark the prefix, and leave it up while students copy the breakdown. Erase when the next word starts.
Quick diagram
A three-box sketch beats a slide you do not have. Draw it, point, then move to the timer for the work that uses the diagram.
Student at the board
Hand the pen to one student for a single mark, then take it back. An open drawing tile with no turn structure becomes scribbling.

When not to use it
- You need the drawing tomorrow on a different computer. This is not a file export.
- The task is text the class must copy accurately. Use the Text widget.
- You wanted a game board you do not have. A sketch is fine for one round. It is not a Hangman or Bingo widget.
Accessibility and privacy
Describe what you draw while you draw it. Students who cannot see the marks still need the idea. Nothing about the drawing is a student record. Save Board keeps the layout in this browser.

Press Save Board to keep the layout in this browser. Do not count on the sketch as a file you will open next month.
Can students draw?
Yes, if you hand over the computer. Give one mark or one minute, then continue the lesson.
Is there a pen-color menu I should document?
Use the controls on the tile. If a control is not on the tile, it is not a feature.
