How the Dice Roller works
The dice widget rolls the number of dice you set, with the number of sides you set. The labels are Dice: and Sides:. The roll is big enough to read from across the room.
- Click Dice in the dock.
- Set Dice: to how many you want to roll.
- Set Sides: to 6 for a normal die, or another number if the activity needs it.
- Roll when the class is watching. Read the result aloud.
- Press Save Board to keep the widget on this layout.
Settings and features
Two fields change the roll. Nothing else is stored.

Ways to use it in class
Pick a prompt number
Number six prompts on the board. Roll one six-sided die. The class does that prompt. It is faster than asking which one they want.
Math talk
Roll two dice and ask for the sum, the difference, or a comparison. Leave the dice up while students write so nobody has to remember the roll.
Fair first turn
Two teams each claim a number. One roll decides who starts. Then put the dice away and start the timer.

When not to use it
- You need a name, not a number. Use the name picker.
- The class cannot see the tile. Make it larger before you roll.
- You are about to re-roll a fair result because a team complained.
Accessibility and privacy
Say the number. Students who cannot see the dice still need the result. The roll is not saved as student data. Save Board keeps the layout in this browser.

Change the Dice: field, then roll.
Can I roll a 10-sided die?
Set Sides: to 10.
Does it remember old rolls?
No. The tile shows the current roll. Press Save Board if you want the dice widget to stay on the layout.
