How the Live Poll works
The poll collects a class vote and shows the split. You write the question, students vote, and you read the result. Press Reset before the next question. This or That is the two-button version of the same idea.
- Click Poll in the dock.
- Enter the question and the choices.
- Press Save. Students vote.
- Read the result in one sentence, then teach from it.
- Press Reset before the next question. Press Cancel if you are abandoning this draft. Press Save Board to keep the widget on the layout.
Settings and features
Save, Cancel, and Reset are the controls. Votes stay on this screen.

Ways to use it in class
Check a misconception
Ask one question with the wrong idea as a choice. If the bar piles up there, reteach that point. If it does not, move on. A poll you do not teach from is a delay.
Vote on a procedure
Two options for how to run the next ten minutes. Majority wins, timer starts, argument ends.
This or That
For a strict two-choice prompt, use This or That and its vote buttons. Press Reset between prompts. The would-you-rather template is already built for that.

When not to use it
- The question is private (feelings about home, bodies, discipline). Do not poll that.
- You need a written answer from each student. Use the Exit Ticket and your own form link.
- You have not decided what you will do with either result.
Accessibility and privacy
Read the result aloud. Color alone is not the result for a student who cannot see the bars. Votes are for the moment on this screen. They are not a gradebook. Save Board keeps the layout in this browser. The board does not load ads.

What is Cancel for?

Do votes follow me to another computer?
No. Copy link opens the layout. It does not carry a vote history.
