How to embed Google Slides on a classroom screen
MyClassScreen is not a Slides player. Use a QR, a second tab, or an LMS iframe — and keep the live timer on this board.
Teachers search how to embed Google Slides into classroom screen because Classroomscreen and slide products sit next to each other on the projector. MyClassScreen does not ingest a .pptx or a Slides file into a widget. That is intentional: we run timers and noise meters, not a second Google Drive.
What works
- QR on the board. Add the QR code widget with your published Slides or PowerPoint-for-web link. Students or a co-teacher open the deck; you keep the timer visible.
- Second tab. Alt-tab (or a second window on the panel) between the MCS board and Slides. Fastest for whole-class lecture + management.
- LMS iframe. If Google Sites or Canvas allows iframes, embed the board or a tool page — see embed MyClassScreen. Districts sometimes block third-party frames; then use a big link instead.
PowerPoint, YouTube, music
PowerPoint: export or use PowerPoint for the web, then QR or a second tab — same as Slides. YouTube: play in its own window; we do not promise an in-widget video host.
